Scoops of Smiles is happening at Osceola Magnet School.

Serving students K through 8, Osceola is a nationally recognized Cognia STEM School and Model School located near the St. Lucie County line and Lakewood Park.

Future kindergarten families are invited to explore our innovative classrooms, connect with teachers, and learn how STEM education begins in the earliest years.

We will end the evening with an Ice Cream Sundae Social to celebrate this exciting step.

Our 6th graders proudly showcased their Marble Transport Engineering Design Challenge projects to our 5th graders during a dynamic Gallery Walk & Talk. Using the engineering design process, students designed and refined systems to transport a marble through a controlled pathway, applying principles of force, motion, gravity, and problem-solving along the way. But the true highlight? Watching our 6th graders step into the role of mentors. They explained their design constraints, prototypes, testing data, and revisions with clarity and confidence. Our 5th graders asked thoughtful questions, analyzed structure and stability, and left inspired for what’s ahead next year. This is what collaboration looks like. This is what engineering tomorrows leaders looks like in action. We are proud of the critical thinking, communication skills, and leadership on display today!

🔬 3rd Grade STEM in Action! 🔬 Our incredible 3rd graders took learning beyond the classroom walls with a hands-on STEM adventure at the Orlando Science Center! From interactive engineering challenges to exploring force, motion, energy, and life sciences, our students weren’t just observing science, they were doing science. They asked questions, tested hypotheses, built solutions, and collaborated like true young scientists and engineers. Experiences like this bring our standards to life and ignite curiosity in ways textbooks simply can’t. We are proud of how our students represented our school! Thank you to our teachers and chaperones for creating opportunities that power up learning and make STEM unforgettable. 💡

Seeing them supporting one another, competing with heart, and celebrating together outside of school shows what true connection looks like. Mrs. Shemo's Kinder class also earned a week long visit from Plory for having the highest percentage of Reading lessons passed in iReady in K-2. He's had a lot of adventures so far! Plory has helped them celebrate Black history month, do math, and had fun at recess. Way to go Kindergartners! #MyOMSK8 #iReady

Mrs. Hobgoods Kinder class earned a week long visit with Plory for being the top K-2 class to have the highest percentage of iReady lessons passed in Reading last week! They are keeping him busy practicing their Reading fluency with their Ufli passages. #MyOMSK8 #iReady
